Beatrice, 20, and Eugenie, 18, – daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson – were among 450 spectators watching 12 men take part in six bouts – refereed by former world champion Barry McGuigan – at the Fistycuffs Fight Night at London`s Shepherd`s Bush Pavillion.

Britain`s Princess Anne had a near miss yesterday, when a car chase ended in a crash just yards from a school she was due to visit.

Three suspected armed robbers fired shots at police before crashing their stolen Audi outside Westminster Academy in London`s Westbourne Green district minutes before the princess was due to arrive. Police alerted Buckingham palace and the royal visit was called off with minutes to spare.

Britain`s Prince Harry is to train as an Army pilot after passing the unit`s selection process.
